Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
This policy covers the Flyer Discount website and Android app
(com.flyerdiscount.app). It explains what information is used, why it is
used, how long it is kept, and how to delete an account.
Information you provide
- Account information: email address and password. Passwords are stored as salted, one-way hashes, not as readable passwords.
- Account preferences: optional name, preferred region or city, and favorite stores when you add them on the website.
- Price alerts: store, product, and target price linked to your account.
- Shopping plans and saved account data: plan names and items, and any cart or saved-item records you choose to store with an account on the website.
- Search and filters: search terms and selected store or region are sent to the service to return matching flyer offers.
Information collected by the Android app
The Android app does not request GPS or other device-location permissions. It sends the region or store you select to filter results. The app does not include an advertising or analytics SDK. Its shopping list and saved deals are stored locally on your device; deleting your account does not erase those device-only lists. You can clear them in Android app storage or uninstall the app.
When you load the service, our API and image providers necessarily receive network request information such as IP address, request path, and device or browser user agent. Retailer and image CDN hosts receive requests for product images. Those providers process network information to deliver and secure their services.
How we use and share information
We use account information to sign you in, save account features, and provide price alerts and plans you request. We use searches and filters to return relevant products. We do not sell personal information and the Android app does not show advertisements. Hosting, database, security, and image-delivery providers process information for us to operate the service. When you open an external retailer or other website, that site's own privacy terms apply.
Security and retention
App-to-service connections use HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Account records remain while the account is active. A deletion request removes the account and account-linked alerts, plans, saved records, cart records, and feedback from the active database. Database backups are created daily and the current cleanup job removes backups older than seven days; because cleanup runs daily, deleted account records may remain in a backup for up to about eight days. Request logs are rotated daily and kept for up to seven days. Logs can contain request paths and network metadata, but not account passwords.
Account deletion
You can delete your account inside the Android app from More → Delete account, or use the public Flyer Discount account deletion page. You must confirm the account email and password. The active account data is deleted immediately after successful confirmation; the backup period above applies. Device-only shopping lists remain on your phone.

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top shows when this version took effect.
